Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park, Cremyll, Torpoint PL10 1HZ, UK

About the event

The art of wood carving allows us to get outside and into nature, to simply slow down and tune into the landscape.

This course caters for everyone, especially those who didn't think that they could master the skills of using an axe and a knife to make beautiful things.

The course is run within the beautiful Mount Edgcumbe Country Park on the Southern banks of the River Tamar.

The class is taught by an experienced military survival expert and wood carver who provides a unique introduction to the art of spoon making. You will learn about the different materials and properties that our forests provide and techniques that will inspire to take up this very relaxing and rewarding skill.

All materials and tools are supplied along with refreshments throughout the day.
